Crossroads Cuisine

The Juniper Bistro kitchen is inspired by the Bow Valley corridor bridging two abundant food baskets.  From the prairie grasslands to the Fraser Valley Delta the Juniper Bistro features “cross roads” western Canadian cuisine.

The Bistro’s menus range from relaxed and comforting to sophisticated and adventuresome.   Chef Tim is committed to using the freshest and finest fish, fowl, game, meats, greens, and herbs to create a sense of place with classic regional specialties.  The carefully selected ingredients reflect seasonal changes of flavor with influences throughout the Rockies,Alberta and Western Canada

The Juniper supports our guest’s pursuit of a healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle. All Bistro menus are 100% trans-fat free.  Seafood selected by the Chef is 100% Oceanwise sustainable seafood.

Breakfast Menu

Breakfast is a glorious time of the day in the Bistro as the sun rises over the peak of Mount Rundle and brushes the sky with a pink hue.   Your choices are based on ingredients to nourish you for a full day outdoors. Enjoy fresh coffee from Jasper’s Rocky Mountain Roasters.  Our T-Bar Menu features an enticing assortment of teas custom blended by the Banff Tea Company.

Lunch & Patio – open April 26 through to October 10

The sun is high in the sky and the patio is the perfect location to enjoy a cold beverage and soak in the Alberta sunshine. The flavors that take shape for lunch are modern yet simple: crispy, refreshing salads, healthy sandwiches, the best Bison Burger in the Rockies, and west coast seafood.

Dinner Menu

The Bistro’s dinner menu ranges from relaxed and comforting to sophisticated and adventuresome. While in the Rockies, you must try signature dishes such as the blueberry braised bison short ribs or the taste of the rockies game and cheese platter. Other favorites include the westcoast seafood hot pot or the AAA Alberta tenderloin with red wine jus. All soups, sauces and dressings are made from scratch in the Bistro kitchen.

Our dessert menu features a decadent vegan chocolate hazelnut pate from the Wild Flour Bakery Cafe in the Bison Courtyard, downtown Banff.

*Juniper Bistro menus always include vegetarian options and the kitchen team is happy to meet any dietary requirements.
